George Grosz - Art History Discovery

Republican Automatons, 1920
Satire in visual media has had profound impact on the lives of the common people as a venue of criticism with subjectivity towards the ruler establishments throughout history. Notable works that inspire me in the 20th century during the rise of Nationalism that subsequently lead into World War 2 derive from George Grosz.

The White General, 1919
George Grosz was a German artist especially known for his caricature drawing of Berlin life in the 1920's, during of which he became member of the Dada movement and New Objectivity group as an entire generation was reeling from the horrors of World War 1 which gave rise to the Nazi party, which Grosz was vehemently Anti-Nazi.

Eclispe of the Sun, 1926

Théodore Géricault - Art History Discovery

The Raft of Medusa, 1819

I never lose my sense of wonder in History and how in the past humanity has chronicled the moments in life that have emphasized the impact of emotions such as apprehension, terror, horror, and awe. Those emotions were expertly profiled during the Romanticism period of the 19th century in "The Raft of Medusa" by Jean-Louis André Théodore Géricault.

Théodore Géricault is viewed as one of the pioneers of French Romanticism, when "The Raft of Medusa" was completed the artist was only 27. More great works were to be expected but tragically the artist passed away at the age of 32.

Dino Battaglia - Comic Artist Discovery

The greatest tragedy of sequential art in America is the comic code authority that was enacted in 1954. This was government censorship at its worst, to assign an artistic medium to the children demography based on lies and to dictate material that shunned free speech. In comparison, Europe was exploring the art form in content that America would not and thus severely restricted European artists and comic content from reaching American audiences. One artist in particular that I recently discovered was Dino Battaglia.

Dino Battaglia was an Italian artist and a friend of Hugo Pratt, who is known in America as the creator of Corto Maltese. But unlike Hugo, Dino was more interested in adapted novels and non fiction material for most of his career. His brush strokes were expressive, leading to natural form and depth that illustrated the world in a cohesive form but also in a minimalist sense that still left enough for the reader to embellish the details for themselves.

It was a tragedy that Dino Battaglia's life was cut short at the age of 60 in 1983, but I feel the greatest harm of his legacy is that comics are still considered a medium of fictional stories and thus a good portion of his work, some consider his greatest work, of adapting classic novels and biographies are not substantially recognized or available in America, even though he was the winner of Best Foreign Artist award at the Angoulême Festival in 1975.

Shanghai'd in the heart of globalization.

I made the jump again. I took my necessary possessions that I could fit in a suitcase and transplanted myself  on the other side of the world. Whether it what was out of boredom or opportunity as the culminating factor, the result is still the same: I'm an English teacher once again.

I told myself that this time would be different, and it has been. I made strict prerequisites for the job search:
1. No kids. Teaching children was a great experience to shape no doubt in my mind that I never want children. Even working with these creatures of irrationality destroyed my own sense of fulfillment as the education system is completely broken and does not cater to children's natural strength but is constructed into drilling them into submission of the outdated industrialization economic model.
2. Large City. In my first year in teaching Korea I made the mistake of teaching in a country side city where my social and personal options were severely limited. Weekends came with tremendous pressure for meeting women, friends, and other cultural and travel experiences as I was stuck in the middle of no where for 5 days a week. I was quite stern with choosing Shanghai for my destination. Why move to New York if you can't live in New York City?

In my urgency to arrive I found myself stuck in the hottest summer in Shanghai's history. The heat cooked the film of filth on the urban landscape giving a sick aroma of mold and garbage at every corner. It felt that there was no escape from the violation my nostril endured, but to embrace it as a memory of the middle kingdom. My initial impression was that Shanghai was a weird hybrid of Bangkok and Seoul, with a silent agony of endurance with the cultural collective to prosper.
There are two distinct economies in China: the family business, and the government business. The government in China is completely corrupt; a mob run enterprise of nepotism and cronyism from the children of the founding members of the communist party. The oligarchs reward themselves with luxuries while propping as many hurdles to systematically oppress it's population into economic servitude since China's entire economic success was providing massive cheap manual labor to the world.

With such a wall in place by the government of seclusion with indifference to it's own population, Chinese families attempt to create their own small shop businesses in hopes of creating a filial legacy which is rooted deeply in their Confucius tradition. It's family's distrust and skepticism of opportunities available to the underprivileged that education is not available and their children start working at an early age to support the family shop. Proper schooling is reserved for those with the available funds, there is no true public schooling and parents have to show residency in the city which prevents the opportunity for Chinese national migrant workers to register their children into receiving an adequate education. The lack of government subsidized education and numerous corrupt public works projects is self perpetuating the divide of wealth, that's why the streets of shanghai are littered with luxury cars for the rich and modified bicycles for the poor; this is the greatest scam of the communist government against it's own people in my own opinion.

The lack of economic stability and opportunity for the general population has led to a culture of wealth hoarding from the top down and the consequences of self expression. It is a culture that works itself to a haggard state, whose main habitual purpose is to save money for the family or to start one. If only the privileged have the ability to express themselves or pursue interests in leisure then the culture will stagnant and fresh ideas for problem solving will be suppressed in favor of established thought, even if those established ideas are causing problems to begin with.

Where was I?

It's been quite some time since the last blog and with good reason. The reason is that after finishing the University of Oregon I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to live with my Brother, Paul. It was quite the polar opposite of my time in Eugene. Phoenix is a place lacking in real depth of human culture, the only sole drive in the populace is financial pursuits and status acquisition.
Though I will never live there again, I must say I learned so much about a new perspective and also about how to improve myself beyond the self deceptive philosophy of the extreme liberalism that I endured for so long at the University.

I became a better person and when it was time to move on, I did.

I moved to South Korea.

WHY? It's a question that caused quite a conflict between my father and myself. It was a simple answer - travel and money. After graduating from my University I entered the workforce during a horrible recession that is still continuing with a degree that did not allow me the opportunities that I desired, with the exception of being an ESL Teacher. I was in debt and I've wanted to Travel to Asia since I was a teenager.

I have been in Korea for a year and a half and it hasn't been too easy, I have been set back by challenges and tragedy. The challenge was how to communicate with Korean kids and develop their English ability and my effectiveness in the classroom. It was difficult as I believe I was given paltry support from my first school. They withheld books and other materials from me, and denied me government mandated teacher orientations. This hindered my progress with my teaching ability and the students class time.

The tragedy was that I almost died from a motorcycle accident. My first year in Korea I was living in Dongducheon, a horribly boring place 20 minutes from the DMZ populated by jaded Koreans and a major American Army base, Camp Casey, that seemed to house the biggest shitbags in the military. I bought the motorcycle as a way of transportation to get around the city and to get to work expeditiously as the Korean cab drivers were thick as thieves that would drive in the most misdirected manner to grind out the highest cost on the fare meter.

I had the motorcycle for only 3 months before I wrecked. It was late evening and I was riding towards old town for dinner when I was misdirected into turning into a back street which had no street lights or signs. I did not see the intersection of the single lane streets as the dark houses suffocated the area. Before I knew it, I was in the middle, just barely enough time to glance over to my right and see a bus coming right at me, no time to brake, just to flinch. I don't want to get into what happened really, just that the impact broke my right ankle, lower leg, and 1 rib. I spent 2 weeks in a Korean hospital, which is a horrible place to be, but I did get the care I needed and that's what matters.

I stayed for a second year in Korea as I needed to get a 2nd surgery for my leg to take out the metal pins. My current job isn't lasting entire year as the structure of the school is changing. I am happy with this as I have found a new job in a school in Seoul. I will finally become a Seoulite.

A New Start

I want to start off by what just occurred to me suddenly this clear star night as I walked outside my brother's house. I looked up in the night sky and saw the moon and thought of an old family pet. He was a black and white shizu, my brothers and I named him Pepper for that very reason of his color. But what the particular thing that I remember about him when I looked at the night sky was a story my dad me about Pepper after his death a few years ago. My dad told me just prior to Pepper's death, in the middle of the night my dad was woken up by a troubling cry from Pepper as he was fidgeting from the floor. As my dad was scrambling from his own bed to aid in Pepper's plight, Pepper gained control of himself and went to the door, urgently waiting to go outside as Pepper. My dad opened the door and Pepper went outside and gently walked in the yard and stared at the moon. Pepper died shortly afterwards.

My dad told me that the sense was that Pepper knew that his time was up and he did what he could do at this moment to make his life better.

I live in Arizona now. I found myself constrained and not feeling that my life would benefit staying in Oregon at this period of time. I just could not tolerate the weather no longer, the utter lack of sun. My younger brother Paul lives here in Tempe, Arizona in the Phoenix area. I was given the opportunity and the support of family, in particular to my dad, to move to my brother's house and settle here in Phoenix area for the time being, and I took it. Though even thought today, I missed the vibe and scene of Portland, in particular the urban downtown experience. Though that's only because I haven't found the alternative here in Phoenix, which I will in a short particular amount of time. I will always note myself as an capable resource gatherer.

Almost Done!

I just started the third week of the program and never had updated the blog. Can´t really be critical as things haven´t changed too much - the program still sucks. Not only does it suck but this month is like redux, it hasn´t changed, it´s a repeat, nothing new is being taught, everyone, students and teachers alike, are just going through the motions becuase we just don´t care. Most of the students left, except those from Oregon. In class I can see the dull and muted eyes of the other students around me, bored, uninspired, just wanting to leave. I just don´t know how people can do it, is that why people say I´m the troubled one, becuase my lack of tolerance and ability to just sit there and let my mind just flounder? Just last week I had left class for a half a hour becuase I felt like my mind was being numbed from boredom, like the fire from the passion of the mind to learn and feel and experience things was being smothered to death. I can´t take it, and no sane person should. Today a fellow classmante, Eric, abruptly out of no where blurted out ¨I´M SO FUCKING BORED!¨, his head shook sparatically in a tremble that made his body to follow suit. And that´s what it is, I´m so fucking angry that this is what school thinks is education, to bore the person into thinking that learning is boring and uninvolving. Some people criticize me as if I have senioritis, I just think I have raw human sanity.

The Saturday excursions are still fun, but I´m losing interest in going to small towns and checking out old bilding and such, a person can only embrace ancient architecture for so long. It´s kinda sad that though the saturday is our day off, it´s sunday that is our free time to do what we want and it´s been raining every sunday, literately. I´ve had fun here but I lost interest, I´m ready to go. I found it apprehensible that our school is dead and that AHA has done nothing to help us become involved. I only found that AHA was only concerned tht we have a place to stay and that we pay our bills, they do want us to pass, as I am always on the edge of failing, not by doing poorly academic wise, but though attendence. But for the amount of money that we paid for you would think that AHA would have someone, like a tutor or somehting to help explain the material, but they don´t, which has been the worst in my veiwpoint, to not be able to ask questions about the material but only to sit there and listen to 4 hours of spanish lecture. This is something that wrote about enough, that school is more concerned with your behavior in class than what you learn, it says something of the institution.

I have to stay positive becuase to only focus on the fact that I´feel that I´ve been hustled $5000 and that I should have gone to Argentina instead will just drive me crazy becuase of how I could have used to money for other things, like a new computer. I mean $5000 is alot of money, and that was just tuition. But I´m almost done, one week left and that´s it, no more Advanced Highschool, oops, I mean Undergraduate College, HAHA.

Oviedo to the 3rd degree

SO the 3rd week has come and gone, and in fact the 4th week is almost over as well, but I never updated the blog simply becuase week 3 sucked. As much as I try to take things into thE POSITIVE I´m sticken with senioritis, also my inability to sit still in a classroom enitment and endure the bleak boredom of the classroom, I´m would be considered a ¨problem student¨with teachers. It´s not also the class that makes me just fidgety or whatever, it´s the utter frustration of the study abroad program, the program is really intensive, in 1 week were taught 3 forms of past tense and 2 forms of future tenses with the irregular verbs and a slew of vocab and all this was tested last monday with only a week of class time. And god-fuckin-forbid if you have questions or you don´t understand some of the material, as I did, becuase your shit of luck becuase the teachers don´t speak english, so it´s fucking impossible to get an explantion of how to understand spanish from someone who speaks only spanish, it´s a contradiction, a conumdrum.

So week 3 I was told if I don´t act like a good child of ritalin, I was in danger of failing, even though I wasn´t the worst student of grade wise, but becuase my utter frustration and inability to particapate wasn´t to thier level, though that´s total bullshit. It wasn´t becuase I wasn´t able to particapate, it was becuase I wass acting like a ADD kid, which I think I might be, but becuase I was bored and frustrated I took a lot of ¨stepping out¨periods where I would leave the class and take a breather about 4 times a day. I think I always read if your frustrated or something, just about to hit your limit, a lot of psychologists oyu need to take a moment of breather to unstress yourself, but these fuck wad teachers say I need to endure thier bull shit class time. Just anyone with an observent eye only has to turn adn look at the sutudents and see the blank expressions on their faces of boredom to realize that the model of class time and structure doesn´t invigorate the mind, but dull it out, that´s school? For a place thatis culturally identifies itself as the institution of higher learning, school is so ignorant, arogant, and illogical, but heh, don´t rock the boat, eh?

Oviedo week part DUEX!

So the second week has come and gone in good ol´Oviedo, and it has been good. I was off to a rough start when I first arrived to Spain, I was, I was robbed, and utterly sleep deprived. But now that I´ve settled into my new surroundings I can say that this place is cool, you just got to know where and when to go, which I´m still learning.

When I and the rest of my fellow Americano students arrived we were treated to the sight of an empty campus and a home of really ridiculous rules (no drinking in the dorms? Ya right, dumbasses!) with the presence of constant overcast weather, it seemed that my summer wasn´t gonna be in the slumper. But the second week has been sunny weather and Gijon fun.

Last tueday we had an excursion to the nearby beach town of Gijon after class, the weather was nice and the intial free time that was given to us we went straight to the beach and went swimming in the Spanish Atlantic, sort of speak. Of course the whole point of any excursion is to take us to some lame museum or site that has historical signicance, but who fucking cares becuase there was a festival/carnival just down the street, haha! The museum took only a couple of hours then we were given the option to going back to Oviedo right hten and there with the school busfor free, or take a train or bus later that costed like 2 euros, most stayed of course. If anyone has been to a traveling carnival, it´s no different in SPain, except one thing - graphical images. There were a couple of those haunted rides, and in the states they are pretty tamed, but in spain the outside fascade has images of bloody graphical death scenes and women in nude quasi-rape scenes. Certainitly a no go in the states.

In the carnival everyone broke up into smaller groups, I stuck with Ian and Pat, fellow UO peps, that are like friend of a friend that I just never met, Eugene is such a small college town. We didn´t stay too long at the carnival becuase we had to meet up with Shane, an Australian in our spainish class, who lives in Gijon with his wife. When we meet up with him after buying a few bottle of wine, he took us to his apartment, which was close to the harbor and was really nice inside. As he was taking us to his apartment I was asking what restuarant we were going to and he gave me a vague answer, I didn´t really care so I never pushed him. But as we got inside his home he gave us some Spanish version of coronas inside the kitchen and I saw that his wife was cooking. So there was no restuarant, only a home cooked Australian meal of Lamb, Corn, Bread, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, and some other DELICIOUS FOOD! No offense to the Spanish but their diet is monatonous. With the food and wine we lost track of time and had to take the last train back to Oviedo, and ran into our spanish teacher, who was with her boyfriend. We did our friendly exchanges and we parted ways afterward.

Friday I finally went to the clubbing sections of Oviedo, which I thought were non existant. For the past week and half we´ve been going to the bars and restuarants that were low key, feeling that this place was deprived of youth, it seemed bleak. But this was not the case. All the bars and clubs are in the old section of town, which are a spiral of small cobble stone streets, so it´s easy to miss a street and get lost, and feel like your going to get mugged in some dark alley. I like the clubs here more so than Barcelona, true they are noticable smaller, but they don´t ask for cover, and most of the time they give you a free first drink just to get you into the door. Inside is the Euro scene of hot chicks of Spain, and like any place in the world, the massive sausage fest of EUro dudes that were outnumbering the ladies 3 to 1. I had fun, danced, got drunk, but went home about 3am which is kinda early since usually people party till at least 5 am in Spain, but I had an excursion to the country side of Spain and had to get up at 8am.

The following morning I made some eggs and ham and went to the fruit store and bought a huge bag of plums and nectarines becuase I knew it would be closed on sunday and it was super cheap, didn´t even cost me 2 euros. The bus ride to the mountains wasn´t too long, but I swear I´m with these jack ass guitar playing teacher assistants that just won´t shut the fuck up, they´re the only ones singing their lame ass songs, most of us had our iPods on. I tried to drowned out the guitar goons the best I could, also it helped that the last stretch up the mountain by the bus was so scary from the fact the roads were so small that every other corner I thought we were gonna tip over the and roll down the mountain that I couldn´t concentrate on anything else, but we lived!

I don´t kow what mountian range we were at but the weather was really hot but I didn´t notice from the constant cool breeze, it was so nice I took my shirt off and didn´t even notice how severly sun burned I got until later that night. Cows were everywhere, and so was thier shit, haha! After that we went to a church and fountian that was carved into a mountina side, supposedly if you drink from the fountain you´ll get married in a year, so to put the myth to the test I drank from it, haha! To mess with the everyone arround me when I drank from the fountain I started spazzing out that it burned my throat, like holy water to a vampire, haha! But it was actually really tastey, wished I had a bottle of water to fill up, but then again if the legend was true than I would have so many wives I would need to convert to mormonism.

Well, that´s it for now, wish the best to everyone!

First week of Oviedo and the Bulls

Okay, so the first week has come and gone and I must say that it´s been... eventful. On the first day of school it was the usual orientation and also a placement test that I fretted over the night before doing last minute craming. I was sincerely worried that I was screwed, that I would do so badly that I would be set back and not in the place to recieve the necessary credits, but thankful that wasn´t true.

Well, not really, I placed what I thought at first was below my level, which is kinda true, if I was in a normal class in the US, but I´m not. The material that I use for class is a photocopy packet of questions, but no learning material, like a book to learn new material or explanations, it´s all review in spanish only. It´s pretty half ass on the part of the program, but the teacher speak only in spanish so I guess it´s really the point to listen. The class starts about 9:30 then ends about 1pm with an extra hour of class time for choice, I picked conversation so I can try to talk with the teacher more often. But the last day on friday we just went outside and they gave us a sheet of like 4 songs that we sang along with a guitar, kinda like summer camp, but with only 4 songs and an hour class time we sang the same 4 songs like 3 times each, really fucking lame.

I don´t know, the University is dead, it seems the only people on the small campus are Americans, there are a few spanish students, but you oonly see like 20 at any given moment. Lame. I´m trying to make the most of it, but I feel that the program is just focusing on the immersion of being in Spain becuase the school itself is kinda coasting along with what they could provide in other things. I mean for the thousands of dollars that we spent for this they could have given us a real book that helped explain the spainish language, but not really. All I can say that though this is a unique opportunity and have fun with my fellow students, I don´t have any respect for the current school system, it´s an ineffective, wasteful cash cow.

After the super awesome sing along (NOT) on firday a few fellow students and I hopped on a Bus to Pompalona for the runnign of the Bulls. The ride was about 7 hours long. The ride there didn´t seem so long, I slept, which on a bus, like a plane, isn´t really sleeping, it´s like resting to kill time. Pompalona is a lot more developed than I thought, to be honest I thought it was gonna be a backwards town, which it isn´t except for the bus station. It´s a really nice town, but damn was it crowded, it was opening night for the festival and there was carnival and families and groups were out and filled the streets, about 90 percent of peopel weere only dressed in the traditinal clothes of white shirt and pants with a red sash and scarf.

After Orientating ourselves, my fellow students and I just partied in the streets with eh rest of the crazies. We made our way the section to wehre the runnign was to commence in the morning, everyone was out and getting drunk. At first we tried the bars, but they wanted 8 euros for a glass of jack and coke, which is the cost of a bottle, was too expensive for me, hell for anyone really. But thankfully we found a small store that was selling a booze and we got a bottle of whiskey for 16 Euros. I was in the mood to get drunk and I drank at least a quarter of that bootle, so by around 3 am I was on the floor so fucked up that I got sick. Knowing that I would be fucked beyond recognition if I just tried to let the alcohol run through me I had my friend lead me to the corner of a street where, once I saw do this, I stuck my finger in my throat and forced myself to vomit. Awesome.

By the time of around 5 am the trucks were out and forcing people to leave so they could set up for the running of the bulls, my group and I then went to park and slept for 2 hours. You think that was bad, sleeping in the park? Sorry no such thing, everyone was doing it, so many people were in the city that there just wasn´t hotels to fit that many people, even the parks were crowded. We awoke about 7am and got into position into the street corridors to run. Now I´m not going to get into this too much, but I was with 2 other friends of mine, they got in front of me and i was just slightly behind them, we were moving forward, when out ofthe blue the pompalona cops did a L shaped sweep, and they block off a chunk of the crowd in the street and took out hteir sticks and puched us out into the side street out of the street to run with the Bulls. Yes, my friends barely got past the cops, while I was shouved out, making my whole experience shit becuase I coulnd´t even see the run becuase the cops pushed us out so far. So fuck that, my 60 Euro and 14 hour total bus ride was fucked becuase of these mother fucking cops. I´m fucking done. I don´t even want to even fucking speak about it no more. I missed the first and probably best excursion with ym Study abroad program to go to Pompalona and get fucked over by cops.

Gone From Barcelona to Oviedo

So I just left Barcelona last night on a 12 hour bus ride, which I BARELY made it to since all the subway (metro) got delayed. I mean barely like the buss was pulling out of it´s port. I slapped the driver´s window and he let me throw my bag in and away I went.

I´m not too sad to leave Barcelona, it wasn´t as cool as I thought it would be, the beach wasn´t that good compared to the beach town of Sitges that I visited a couple of days ago that´s just outside of barcelona. The bars and clubs are just any other, or perhaps I´m starting to rescend into my former self as the activity of Bar hopping and Clubbing has lost it´s glam and luster to me. I´m reverting to my Down Low self again.

I did enjoy it though, I thought it was so muhc fun to walk through the old narrow corridor pedestrian streetways of hundreds of year of building that tried to sell the newest designer cloths was a bit of a fantastic site. I didn´t buy any clothes though as I can´t seem to find the reason to pay 50 euro made in china shirts, they looked nice though.

The Hostel I stayed was super nice, funny though to get to the street of LA RAMBLA 3 blocks away, you have to pass the popular street corner that is populated by prostitutes all day, sickly sight actually, just gross. But prostitues were numerous, at night they swarmed LA RAMBLA and cat called any guy that wasn´t in a giant group or didn´t already have a girl, which on my last night walking home from the bars was me, pretty annoying as they would grab you as if you too shy to ask them. I just told tohem to fuck off.

But now the Barcelona trip is over, had fun considering the fact I arrived sick with a mouth full of canker sores that I haven´t had a real meal in a week. Oviedo seems nice, can hardely believe that I´m gonna be here for 2 months, I´m pretty nervous and a little upset, about school starting tomorrow, but this is the experience that I told myself I´ve wanted for the last 3 years. Either way there is not turning back and got to finish strong and enjoy the 3 weeks of travel afterwards.

Barcelona!!

So Im in Barcelona right now and itçs a really cool city. Im in a hostel about 2 blocks from La Ramblas, a streatch of street that is the equivalent of New York Times Square. Bars, clubs, resturants and trendy shops line up the focal spot and Ive had as much fun as I couñd try to get even though my GAME has been hindered by the illness and canker sores. So what else? Checkig all the hip spots but not gonna waste my money on cover charges and over priced alcphol, I mean why should I when you can drink alcohol on the street but cant take it into the clubs, boo hoo!

I went bar hopping with a group of fellow hostel people yesterday, when we got to a punk bar one of the fellows in my group nudged me to the side and lead me into the bathroom room where he pulled out a small baggy of white powder that he claimed was cociane. He then clena a space in the bathroom stall counter, locked the door and made a line. He then told me how this was crazy shit and I should get on it, I was considering it when he told me to give him money, I tild him I could throw down 5 euro for some but he wanted me to give hime 20 euro and he would also buy me a beer. I politely told him no, but my mind was saying o fuck yourself, he then did a line and we departed. Later he in the night he confessed to us that he was certain that he bought a small baggy of baking soda, which the drug dealer said was coke, for 50 euro, haha loser!

Europe Begins!

So I want to start this right since I forgot an actual journal Iĺl just write it here instead.

I just finally arrived into Barcelona after over a day of traveling, from Portland to Chicago, Chicago to Philidelphia, Philidelphia to Madrid, and a bus from Madrid to Barcelona. The Flight from Chicago to Philly was delayed almost 2 hours and I almost came close to missing my flight, but Ie been sick for the last couple of days that I was almost hoping that the Airline would put me on the next flight and set me up in a hotel to rest, but tat didnt happen. So in the end the total flight hours were 16 hours with a 7 hour bus ride, let me tell you this, it sucks to be sick while traveling for so long. And also, I get canker sores from stress pretty easily so you can tell that with graduation, moving, travling, and my parents ridiculous bickering, I have so many canker sores I cant even eat without torturous pain.

Iĺl write tomorrow about barcelona, but right now Im going to bed, after I I just took a hot shower. Only when I was in the army that such basic things felt like luxuries of royalty.
